The theme this month is Scottish food and drink … so we have venison, cheese, fish, cooked meats, award-winning pies, globally-nominated Laura’s hot fresh food, sweet delights from Molly’s, Fair Trade supplies, naturally the German stall also nominated for a BBC food award and much, much more.
If you haven’t been along yet … why not break the habit and try it. With some outdoor and some indoor stalls the weather needn’t be a barrier.
There’s a chance to try different foods and give those supermarkets a miss this week, come on … support your local community.
Juniper Green Community Council make one stall available free of charge to an organisation in this area. This month it is Currie Horticultural Society. Their Stall will sell a selection of good quality bedding and perennial plants at very reasonable prices - something for all gardeners. Copies of this year's Show schedule will also be on sale @ £2 each. The schedule gives details of entries for this year's Show with sections for gardeners, bakers, jam makers, handicrafts, flower arranging and childrens' sections. Purchase of the schedule includes admission to the Show on Saturday 29 August.
Come and support these local stallholders.
