You've got what you wanted. A farmers' market in Juniper Green. Buy fresh, healthy local food and cut out the food miles.

The Edinburgh weather was kind for the inaugural Farmers’ Market in Juniper Green on Saturday 25th September. Piper Christopher Grieve announced the market’s arrival with a selection of Scottish tunes. Eight stallholders brought a range of food including game, vegetables, bread, pies, cakes and meat. There were traders selling soap products and wooden items too. The Kinleith Arms proprietor Gillian McIntee served coffee and rolls to some of the market shoppers. An estimated 400+ people turned out to see what was on offer and several stallholders had sold up before the end of the morning. When the crowd was at its greatest local resident and Shetland fiddler Terry Moug entertained the crowd with his foot tapping music, some were even seen to dance! Local residents exclaimed they had met everyone they had ever known in Juniper Green in one hectic morning of trading. Roll on the next market fixed for Saturday October 23rd starting at 9am.
