The 1825 school

This is the school on Baberton Avenue There had been a small subscription school for girls in the area since 1825 built by Lady Seaforth on Baberton Avenue but boys seeking schooling would have had to go to Colinton before the Free Church school was built. This building later served as an infant school until 1922.
