Pentland Singers Summer Concert
6th June 2007
By Neil Houston

The Pentland Singers presented their Summer Concert to packed audiences on the 6th and 7th June.

The theme was based on music of War and Peace, with the main piece being Karl Jenkins' Armed Man: A Mass for Peace.

The remainder of the programme was given to more nostalgic music with works taken from World Wars 1 and 2, The American Civil War and The French Revolution. The Pentland Junior Singers also presented a variety of material. The Benedictus was dedicated to Juniper Green 300. The programme showed: "This movement is dedicated to Juniper Green 300 in memory of the men and women of Juniper Green who gave their lives in battle or conflict"
